Composite bonding is a minimally invasive solution where tooth coloured material is used to naturally contour chipped, uneven edges and close gaps between teeth. The shape and size of teeth can also be enhanced to achieve a particular look.

The treatment is carried out in one pain-free visit where local anaesthetic is often not necessary unless areas of decay require removal. We can choose a shade of composite to match the colour of the teeth or opt for brighter shades of composite to achieve a whiter smile.

We may recommend teeth-whitening prior to composite bonding. Fillings, veneers and crowns do not whiten and for that reason it is best to carry out whitening first so the teeth are bright and ready for composite bonding.

Composite bonding is strong and long-lasting if looked after well. We recommend brushing twice daily, interdental cleaning and regular hygiene appointments.
